2010 Bunnings Industry Partnership
In late 2009, Gateway LLEN brokered a industry partnership
between Bunnings Warehouse - Box Hill and Gateway LLEN region
schools.
The project will commence in 2010, bringing together the
professionalism, skill and expertise of the Bunnings "Red Army" and
the flexible curriculum of VCAL. The aim is to give students an
amazing opportunity to work with qualified trades people, use
quality materials and tools and assist their broader school
community by transforming selected areas of their school grounds
into useable, practical learning and socializing spaces.
Industry Partnerships
Where ever possible, Gateway LLEN assists education providers to
create lasting partnerships with business and industry.
Through industry tours and visits Gateway LLEN have given many
students in the Monash, Manningham & Whitehorse regions
invaluable exposure to what life may hold for them in the
workplace.
“On behalf of the middle school drama students I would like
to thank you for help and understanding. As well as enjoying the
Entertainment Industry Tour, the students have learnt a great deal
from the theatrical professionals that they came in contact with,
that they would not have otherwise experienced in normal
classes.”
Benefit's to Business

contribute:
- Offer a work placement/or work experience
- Be a guest speaker at a careers event
- Offer a donation, or in kind support
- Host a group of students on a industry visit
