Context and Goals
The Strategic Conversations Partnership hosts quarterly forums that are attended by over 60 professionals, parents and other stakeholders. The participants convene to raise awareness of some of the complexities via group discussions aimed at highlighting local problems and to alert workers to areas of concern. The discussions are solution focused and have led to development of networks, partnerships and pilot programs.

The Partnership’s Approach
The Strategic Conversations Partnership was initiated after extensive stakeholder consultation, designed to improve partnership opportunities and to raise awareness of issues impacting upon transition. To best serve the aims of the partnership, Gateway LLEN brokered a powerful alliance between local government and other key providers to provide a well-balanced core of relevant local knowledge and information.

“The forum opened a dialogue to discuss youth mental health and keep it on the agenda as something to continue working on in collaboration.”
