The Lollielab Workshop
At the Vocational Learning Network Meeting that was held on 8th October 2008, Luke Hayden along with
Bronwyn
Cullinan presented the network with information on the Lollielab Workshop.
The aim of the Lollie Lab interactive workshop is to
engage students, showing them how wide a range of
practical skills and educational knowledge can be applied
to real life business and working situations.

Centrelink and Job Network Forum
Gateway LLEN in partnership with Outer Eastern LLEN held a Centrelink and Job Network Forum on 13 August 2008. A number of MIPs & VCAL Coordinators, Careers Teachers & VET Coordinators, Welfare Coordinators & Youth Commitment Transition Teams and External Youth Agencies attended. This forum included presentations from Centrelink, Sarina Russo, ECHO Australia (DEN), Harrison House and Melbourne East Group Training Company (MEGT).

Solutions for Life Long Learning Project
A Project Manager was employed for 15 months in 2004 - 2005 to develop models to assist life long learning for young people with disabilities. DHS, DE&T, CEO, Centrelink, Holmesglen TAFE, DEST and EIEP have been involved in developing the project and being the steering committee for the “Solutions for Lifelong Learning” Project. 6 schools have participated in the project. This project has been effective in the provision of support and experiences for young people with disabilities in both mainstream and special settings to enhance their options for lifelong learning and employment.
