What is VCAL?
vcal_kids
Year 11 and 12 students in Victoria have a choice of two post-compulsory certificates – VCE and the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL).

The VCAL gives you practical work-related experience, as well as the opportunity to develop your literacy and numeracy ability, and personal development skills that are important for life and work.

Students who choose to do the VCAL are likely to be interested in going on to training at TAFE, doing an apprenticeship, or getting a job once they have completed school.

In 2005 VCAL will be offered by 377 educational providers (TAFEs, Catholic, Government and Private schools) to almost 9,000 students.
