The Challenge
This partnership theme was derived from school consultation where:
- 73% of survey respondents indicated specific interest in careers and pathways
- 59% in expos and industry events
- 50% in mentors/industry professionals
The Speed X Manningham initiative is an immersion/SWL program is for Year 11 and 12 VCE VM students within the Manningham region.
This industry immersion/SWL program is an ongoing partnership between Gateway LLEN and Manningham Council designed for Year 11 and 12 VCE VM students, and providing with them the opportunity to connect with local employers, learn about occupations and practice interview techniques.

The Result
This industry immersion/SWL program is an ongoing partnership between Gateway LLEN and Manningham Council deigned for Year 11 and 12 students, and providing with them the opportunity to connect with local employers, learn about occupations and practice interview techniques.
The program features a range of employers with professional backgrounds in numerous different industries, from sports and recreation, to building, business, hospitality, health and more.
