You’ve done it – your VCE is done!

Whether you’re thrilled, nervous, or unsure about your results, take a breath.

Your future is full of possibilities, and there’s no single “right” path to success.

The team at Gateway LLEN has crafted a five-step guide to help you plan your next move:

1. 1. Reflect
      Check out how far you’ve come – completing Year 12 is a huge achievement. Before making decisions, give yourself a few days to rest and think about what you truly want your next 12 months to look like.
   2. Explore your options
      You’ve heard it from us before – uni isn’t the only path to success. Many students find rewarding careers through TAFE, apprenticeships, or traineeships. Others combine part-time study with work to gain both income and experience.
   3. Don’t forget the Change of Preference period
      If you received an ATAR, the VTAC ‘Change of Preference’ window is a great chance to review your choices. Don’t be afraid to adjust your preferences or add new courses that better fit your goals.
   4. Ask for help
      Talk to your school careers adviser or connect with the team at Gateway LLEN. We can help you explore local industries, job trends, and training pathways that suit your interests and strengths.
   5. Keep learning
      Your first step outside of school doesn’t define your future – many people take indirect routes to find fulfilling work.
